I cannot wait for the Ethics course! Trin and I just had an interesting and intense discussion on the elected official who refused to hand out marriage licenses to people who belive differently than we do. What would we have done differently, the same, who should be in office, and trying to find and/or not cross that fine line between disagreeing and judging. It was one of those discussions where we had to make sure we understood we were not trying to attack the other's thoughts, just trying to get to an understanding of why. I pray the thought that she came away with is we act towards others out of love. I am comforted with the thought a pastor left indelibly in my mind this summer at CIY which was questioning and pushing me about my beliefs means she is right on track in her developement. It is also good for her to hear, question, and understand Christian ethics from others. Again can't wait! Thank you for these classes that are so timely.
