Christmas is officially two weeks away, and that means many of us are considering gift ideas for others in our lives.  If you're looking for ideas for the "reader" you know, here are six suggestions.  Each of these suggestions has been recently published (in the last 2-3 years) and will be linked to an Amazon page where you can learn more.  You'll see they're listed under 6 categories that I try and stay loosely tethered to:

Bible & Theology

Taking God at His Word: Why the Bible is Knowable, Necessary, and Enough, and What that Means for You and Me (by Kevin DeYoung)  For a short review I did of this book, click here.

What other books (in any of these categories listed above) would you suggest people consider?  List 'em here!

The Heavenly Man is a great autobiography by one of the leaders of the Chinese home church movement. It's very humbling to see what they will go through to follow Christ, how precious the Word is to them, and how much scripture they memorize because they don't know when their Bible might be confiscated. And how God was with them during the darkest moments.

I'm (way!) slow on commenting on this, but wanted to say thanks for commenting, Mike! I've never read _Heavenly Man_ but have heard good things about it. Thanks for recommending it!
